Objectives of the Course This course aims to examine the impact of artificial intelligence technologies on labor law by analyzing the changes in working conditions, how the rights and obligations of employers and employees are affected by artificial intelligence, and how existing legal regulations adapt—or could adapt—to these emerging technologies.
Course Content This course explores the impact of artificial intelligence technologies on the field of labor law. It focuses on the transformations in working conditions, the changes in the rights and obligations of employers and employees, and how current legal frameworks respond to these technologies. The aim is to assess the legal challenges posed by the use of artificial intelligence in employment relationships and to evaluate potential solutions.
Course Methods and Techniques In this course, the impact of artificial intelligence technologies on labor law will be examined through comparative legal analysis, normative evaluation, and case studies. Relevant legislation, secondary regulations, and judicial decisions will first be analyzed, followed by an assessment of how AI applications affect employment relationships through concrete examples. Regulations from the European Union, Turkey, and selected other jurisdictions will be compared to establish a comparative framework. To enable students to keep pace with current developments, academic literature reviews, thematic presentations, and interactive discussion sessions will be employed. In this way, the course aims to enhance students’ ability to apply theoretical knowledge to practical contexts.
