Objectives of the Course Introduce modern problems to students at advanced level, ensure that students are able to penetrate to modern sources through weekly readings, gain comparison capability between the texts, discuss modern problems, try to produce critical thoughts on these problems.
Course Content New Ilm-al Kalam texts will be read and discussed. Modern period kalam debates and kalam discussions that should be emphasized will be dealt with through selected authors and their works. Moreover, works on the history of kalam and systematic kalam in the present Turkey will be studied and evaluated.
