Dersin Amacı	This course aims to guide doctoral candidates in Economics from a promising idea to a defendable, field-ready dissertation by developing the capacity to frame novel research questions, situate them within the frontier literature, design and implement credible theoretical and empirical strategies, and produce fully reproducible analyses. It fosters independent research judgment, professional project management, and adherence to ethical and data-governance standards while emphasizing clear scholarly communication for specialist and policy audiences. By the end, candidates will have a cohesive manuscript or set of papers, a documented replication package, and a dissemination plan aligned with target journals, conferences, and job market requirements.

Sıra No	Açıklama
1	By the end of the thesis course, the doctoral candidate will be able to formulate a precise research question and articulate a novel contribution relative to the frontier of the literature. This will be demonstrated through an approved prospectus and an introduction chapter that clearly positions the contribution.
2	The candidate will critically synthesize and evaluate the state of the art, identifying unresolved debates, gaps, and appropriate theoretical or empirical lenses. Evidence for this outcome includes a literature review chapter that maps the field and an accompanying annotated bibliography.
3	Where applicable, the candidate will construct and analyze economic models to generate testable implications. Success will be shown through a theory section containing propositions or lemmas with proofs, or clearly derived comparative statics that connect to empirical tests.
4	The candidate will acquire, clean, document, and securely manage datasets consistent with FAIR and ethical standards. Evidence will include a data management plan, a clear codebook, and a reproducible data pipeline.
