Objectives of the Course
|
Within the scope of this course;
- Students will be able to choose topics in scientific research, source research, efficient use of libraries and electronic databases, Mendeley, etc. Learning citation management and source editing programs (1)
- Preparation of research plan (3)
- Preparation of a draft thesis plan and topic proposal, determining the correct use of citation methods (2)
- Preparation of theses, articles and seminar assignments, (3)
- Understanding the methods for preparing application summaries and notification texts at conferences and seminars (2) - Preparing sample thesis and assignment plans (3)
- Preparing sample studies on citation methods and preparing written assignments and making summary presentations regarding the assignments (3)
is targeted.

Course Content
|
In this course, it is aimed for students to learn the research methods used in social sciences, especially in postgraduate research in the field of law, thesis, articles, seminars and assignments, and to learn and use the ethical principles regarding scientific publications. In this context, the student who is successful in the course is expected to conduct source research through the library and electronic databases, categorize the sources found, learn the citation methods used in source use and use them in his master's thesis and other academic studies.
First of all, the method of determining the subject of academic study according to the type and level of the study will be touched upon, and information will be given regarding the determination of the main question of the research and the research methods to be used after this determination. Within the framework of this information, students will practice by conducting research on different subjects and preparing presentations, draft thesis plans, thesis plans, bibliographies, homework and article samples. In the course, research, presentation and discussion methods will be used, as well as classical narration, with the active participation of the students.
