Objectives of the Course The aim of this course is to learn the basic conditions, techniques and approaches necessary to provide professional assistance in order to distinguish clinical interviews from other interviews and to gain practical experience.
Course Content The characteristics of the clinical interview environment, the structuring of the interview, the techniques to be used in the interviews, the termination of the clinical interview, reporting and all subtleties to be considered in all these processes will be covered in this course. In addition to theoretical knowledge, it also includes role-playing, video-watching, and other relevant exercises and applications. The necessary infrastructure for gaining the flexibility needed in clinical interviews and obtaining the theoretical information in accordance with the cultural and spiritual values of the potential client profile is supported by the discussion and criticism environments encouraged at the end of each course.

Course Notes Students are expected to make a presentation, prepare and demonstrate a video record of a first clinical interview, write a clinical interview according to SCID I or II and attend the classes regularly and participate the class activities for the course evaluation.

9 Judge the accuracy of the criticism to their first interview videos; thanks to these critics in some cases they can improve their clinical skills by accepting the appropriate criticism, and if needed they can defend their own point of view. (5: EVALUATION)
