Objectives of the Course This is a course designed to constitute a solid introduction to the Ottoman language and script. It provides a rigorous familiarization with the technical aspects of the Ottoman script in conjunction with a comprehensive review of the grammatical characteristics of Ottoman Turkish.
Course Content the sequence that it launches is as a whole more intensive than most standard beginning Ottoman courses, and aims to enable students to take more thematically focused advanced paleography courses.
