Objectives of the Course CPERS 501 is devised for students who would like acquire basic communicative competence in modern Persian. Based on elementary knowledge of grammar, lexis, and phonology, this course aims to teach how to understand and to some extent engage in everyday communication.
Course Content The course aims to develop student's their basic-level listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills and to do that it incorporates a variety of activities and drills including dialogues, reading texts, role plays, language games, grammar and phonetic exercises, dictations, and translations, interviews, and discussion of topics.
