Objectives of the Course This course is designed for beginners. It introduces French phonology, morphology, and basic syntax. The course develops the four main language skills — reading, listening, writing, and speaking. Students learn how to introduce themselves and their families, and how to communicate simply with those around them.

By the end of the course, students are expected to know basic vocabulary related to themselves, their work, their families, greetings, numbers, days of the week, colors, and objects in their immediate environment, and to be able to use these words in simple or memorized expressions.
Course Content The main objective of this course is to provide students with the fundamentals of the French language and to enable them to express themselves at a basic level in everyday communication. It aims to help students build a solid foundation in French phonology, vocabulary, and basic grammar structures.

The course focuses on developing the four main language skills — reading, writing, listening, and speaking — simultaneously, so that students can introduce themselves, their families, their surroundings, and their daily lives. In addition, the course seeks to raise students’ awareness of French culture and encourage them to use the language within its cultural context.
