Course Content This course is designed for pre-intermediate learners (A2 level) and covers the basics of grammar and vocabulary. You will learn how to use different forms of present and past tenses, as well as connectors to link ideas in your sentences. Topics that will be covered include describing people and places, discussing cultural events, media and emotions, all presented in a simple and accessible way. The course also focuses on developing your ability to handle simple situations, particularly those related to your immediate environment. By the end of the course, you will be able to create a sequence of coherent sentences to express your thoughts and ideas effectively.

Course Notes Attendance-Participation
o Students should keep a consistent attendance.
o If the student is 10 minutes late s/he will be considered absent
o The students are expected to use their absence right in high emergency situations.
o The maximum number of medical reports is 2 reports.
o Opening the camera and being prepared for online classes will be part of the participation assessment.

The student can ask for re-grading by applying formally to Student Affairs.

Not allowed, except when the teacher asks students to use it for a learning purpose.

? Academic Integrity
o If the teacher figures out that the student is submitting an assignment that belongs to someone else, or was accomplished by someone else, the student will get zero for this assignment.
o If the student submits for the second time an assignment that belongs to someone else, or was accomplished by someone else, s/he will be sent to a disciplinary committee.
o If the student is caught cheating in the exam s/he will get zero, and will be sent to a disciplinary committee.
? Assignments
o The student is going to submit 2 presentations
o The student cannot submit the presentations after the due date.
o The assignment that is not submitted by the due date will be scored zero (0).
o The student shall provide a justification and a medical report within 2 days after missing the due date, otherwise the justification and the medical report will be considered void.
? Language Certificate
The student needs to enter a placement test in case s/he needs a formal level certificate.
