Dersin Amacı Bu ders, Organizasyonlar Sosyolojisi alt disiplinine kapsamlı bir genel bakış sağlayacaktır. Tolbert ve Hall'un bize söylediği gibi, “Organizasyonlar dünyamızın manzarasına hakimdir; faaliyetleri, doğumdan ölüme kadar hepimizi etkileyen önemli ekonomik, politik ve sosyal sonuçları belirler. Bu nedenle, […] kuruluşların nasıl ve neden bu şekilde çalıştığını anlamaya çalışmak için biraz düşünmek ve çaba göstermek bize düşüyor. " Organizasyon, hastanede doğduğumuz andan itibaren okul ve hem kamu hem de özel iş hayatındaki kariyerlerimiz boyunca günlük hayatımızın önemli bir bileşenidir, bir organizasyonla yüzleşir ve etkileşimde bulunuruz. Gruplar ve kulüpler gibi gönüllü kuruluşlara katılmaktan mutlu olabiliriz veya cezaevi veya vergi dairesi gibi bir kuruluşla temasa geçmekten kaçınmaya
Dersin İçeriği 1. Örgütler Sosyolojisi ile ilgili temel fikirleri, kavramları ve sorunları tanımlayın. 2. Örgütler Sosyolojisi ve bunun toplum / toplumlar üzerindeki etkisi ile ilgili fikirlerde önemli tarihsel değişiklikler hakkında bilgi edinin. . 3. Toplumlar arası organizasyon çalışmalarındaki fikirleri ve teorileri karşılaştırın. Benzerlikler nerede? Önemli farklar nelerdir? 4. Ek literatürü bulun ve eleştirel olarak inceleyin ve önemini ve Örgütler Sosyolojisi konusuyla ilgisini açıklayın. 5. Derste sunulan literatürün, konuların ve materyalin görüşten analizine ve eleştirel incelemesine geçin ve farklı sosyolojik teorilerin ve yaklaşımların kuruluşların çalışmasına nasıl uygulandığını anlayın.

2 Demonstrate an ability to think critically and create well-structured and evaluated arguments regarding the material and literature including the sociological theories that underpin discussions of organizations, which have been presented in class.
3 Offer critique, or support for some of the most well-known treaties on the sociology of organizations
4 Gain an understanding for critiquing theories on organization. Critically analyze how the changes in society impact on these ideas as well as critically examining how these ideas might impact on society/societies.
5 The student can create a relevant topic for their final paper and research outside sources through careful evaluation of that source and analysis of its arguments.
