Objectives of the Course
1. Introduce the student to the fundamental concepts and findings of biological psychology.
2. Familiarize with basic anatomy of the brain especially related to the cognitive, perceptual, behavioral and emotional functions.
3. Introduce the basics of cell anatomy and neural transmission and explain the role of various systems in the body.
4. Enhance the students' ability to think critically and scientifically about the biological correlates of human behaviour.
Course Content This course covers the fundamental concepts and findings of biological psychology. It draws on a variety of ideas from Neurophysiology, Psychopharmacology, Neuroanatomy and Perception in relation to human behaviour. The course will introduce the basics of anatomy and neural transmission and explain the role of various systems in the body.
